UN For Gaja :संयुक्त राष्ट्र के प्रवक्ता स्तेफ़ान दुजैरिक ने शुक्रवार को अपनी नियमित प्रैस वार्ता में कहा कि मानवीय सहायता की आपूर्ति में लगातार हो रही देरी, ठहराव स्थलों पर बाधाएं और सीमा चौकियों पर वाहनों में सामान लादने की प्रक्रिया में व्यवधान, सहायता सामग्री को एकत्र करने और उसे ज़रूरतमंद लोगों में वितरित करने के प्रयासों को कमज़ोर कर रहे हैं।
प्रवक्ता ने कहा, “यह ज़रूरी है कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र और उसके मानवीय सहयोगी, समुदाय-आधारित व्यवस्था का उपयोग करके, बड़े पैमाने पर सहायता पहुँचा सकें, जिसमें बेहद कमज़ोर हालात वाले लोगों तक पहुँच भी शामिल हो।हाल के आंकड़े इस चुनौती का स्तर बताते हैं। 27 मई से 8 अगस्त के बीच, रफ़ाह के रैडक्रॉस अस्पताल ने साढ़े चार हजार घायलों का इलाज किया। खाद्य वितरण स्थलों तक पहुँचने की कोशिश करते समय अधिकांश लोगों ने घायल होने की बात बताई।
भगदड़ में घायल हो गए, खाद्य सामग्री मिलने के तुरंत बाद चोरी हो गई या हिंसा के शिकार हो गए।
जिन बारह सहायता मिशनों को इसराइली अधिकारियों के साथ समन्वय की जरूरत थी, उनमें से पाँचों को गुरूवार को पूरा किया गया, बिना किसी बाधा के। आयोजकों ने चार मिशन रद्द कर दिए और तीन अन्य को बाधित कर दिया।
