In his role as Detective Axel Foley, Eddie Murphy is back.
Joseph Gordon Levitt, Murphy, and other actors guest star as the title character of the “Beverly Hills Cop” film series in the latest teaser trailer for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,” which was released on Thursday.
Mark Molloy is directing the picture, which puts Axel “back on the beat in Beverly Hills,” according to the movie’s synopsis.
“After his daughter’s life is threatened, she (Taylour Paige) and Foley team up with a new partner (Gordon-Levitt) and old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton) to turn up the heat and uncover a conspiracy,” the trailer keeps going.
Alongside veteran actors Bronson Pinchot and Paul Reiser, who portray Sergeant and Detective Jeffrey Friedman, Kevin Bacon also joins the cast as Captain Grant.Every day, we risk our lives for each other. And for what purpose?” In the teaser, Grant from Bacon asks. “It comes with the job if you’re doing it right,” Foley from Murphy says.
In 1984, Murphy played Axel Foley in the first “Beverly Hills Cop” movie. The role was also played by him in “Beverly Hills Cop II” and “Beverly Hills Cop III.”
In the summer of 2024, “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” will be available on Netflix.
