After meeting with Rahul Gandhi earlier this week, Indian Railways allegedly served wrestler Vinesh Phogat with a show cause notice. Party leaders made the claim on Friday, the day Phogat resigned from her position and joined the Congress in advance of the Haryana Assembly elections.
Railway authorities issued a show-cause notice to Vineesh Phogat. Her meeting with Rahul Gandhi was her lone “crime.” Congress leader KC Venugopal pleaded, “Don’t do politics, just finish the formalities to relieve her.”
Meeting political leaders was included in the notification as a way to break service rules, according to a PTI report citing party insiders.
In addition to applauding the party for “understanding their pain and tears” over police action at the Jantar Mantar protests in 2023, the 30-year-old had already declared retirement.

She continued, “I have experienced this, and I promise that we will be there.
