Congresswoman Supriya Shrinate said: that whoever got access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts was behind the now-deleted social media post. She also placed the responsibility on X for the misuse of her name by a parody account.
A nasty tweet about Kangana Ranaut, an actor and BJP candidate, has gone viral on social media. Congresswoman Supriya Shrinate sent the now-deleted post from her account. Ranaut appeared in a scantily clothed snapshot with a disparaging message on the post, according to reports.
According to Shrinate, whoever got access to her Facebook and Instagram accounts was responsible for the social media post, which was removed shortly after it was posted. She also placed the responsibility on X for the misuse of her name by a parody account.
“My Instagram and Facebook meta accounts were accessed by someone who made an extremely offensive and repulsive post, which has since been removed. Knowing me, you know that I would never say it to a woman. But, Supriya Shrinate stated, “I recently found out that a parody account using my name is being used on Twitter (@Supriyaparody), and it is being reported. This is what began the whole controversy.
Ranaut wrote on X after the image went popular, saying, “Dear Supriya ji, Throughout the previous 20 years of my artistic work, I have portrayed a wide range of ladies. From a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii, from a simple girl in Queen to an alluring spy in Dhaakad, and from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi.”
“We need to release our daughters from the bonds of stereotypes, get over the inquisitiveness about their anatomy, and most importantly, stop portraying the difficult lives or situations of sex workers as some form of mistreatment or derogation. The actor, who is running for the BJP in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, said, “Every woman deserves her dignity.” Ranaut went on.
“A young woman’s sexuality is assaulted if she receives a ticket, and a young man’s ideology is attacked if she receives one. Unusual! Congressmen are also using the name of a tiny town in a sexual way. Shame on Congresspeople for Showing Sexist Tendencies: Mandi is being utilized in a sexual context everywhere simply because it has a young woman running for office, Ranaut added.
“I removed that post,” declared Shrinate. It goes without saying for everyone who knows me that I am incapable of making crude or personal remarks about any lady. I was curious as to how this came about. I discovered that a parody account called Supriyaparody is being used on Twitter, and my name is being misused there.
Regarding Shrinate’s post about Ranaut, the National Commission for Women (NCW) would write to the Election Commission of India (ECI) later.
