U19 World Cup 2024 : In Tuesday’s Super Six match at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein, India defeated New Zealand by 214 runs, extending their winning streak in the 2017 ICC U19 World Cup.
After hitting 131 off 126 balls and returning with numbers of 2-10, Musheer Khan was declared the Player of the Match. India scored 295/8 in 50 overs when Uday Sharan, the captain, played a knock of 34 and Adarsh Singh hammered 52 when put in to bat first.
Mason Clarke took four wickets for New Zealand, limiting India to 300 runs.
In the chase, spinner Saumy Pandey wrecked havoc with 4-19 to demolish the Kiwi batting line-up, bowling them out for 81 in 28.1 overs after Raj Limbani (2-17) claimed two wickets in the opening over of the innings.
On Friday, India will play their final Super Six encounter against Nepal.
