In accordance with Rule 12 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954, the central government immediately dismissed Puja Khedkar from the IAS.

Weeks after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) rejected Puja Khedkar’s pro-visional candidacy, the controversial IAS probationer has been dismissed from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) by the Union government, effective immediately.
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Khedkar was released from the IAS under Rule 12 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954. Khedkar is accused of gravely misbehaving, cheating, and abusing advantages under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and handicap quotas.

According to the regulations, probationers may be released from service if they, among other things, “do not pass the re-examination…” or “the central government is satisfied that the probationer was ineligible for recruitment to the Service or is unsuitable for being a member of the Service.”
When it was claimed that Puja Khedkar had falsified information in her UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022 application in order to receive reservation privileges, her legal problems started. She was accused by the Delhi Police and the UPSC of submitting fake disability certificates for the 2022 and 2023 exams, using two distinct documents.

Khedkar was found to have committed fraud against the Commission and the public, according to the UPSC, which had earlier declared that her candidature had to be withdrawn on July 31 in order to reveal the entire scope of the plot. She has refuted every accusation.
Following the Delhi Police’s allegation that one of Khedkar’s handicap certificates may be “forged” or “fabricated,” Khedkar told the Delhi High Court on Thursday that she was willing to undergo a medical examination at AIIMS.

I’m ready to get a medical examination done on me. They claim that I changed my name first. These days, they say disability is debatable. “I am open to visiting AIIMS,” stated the senior attorney representing Khedkar.
She submitted the information while her criminal case’s anticipatory bail application was being heard by the court.
