Rahul Gandhi is visiting the United States for the first time since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Rahul Gandhi With Indian Overseas Congress : Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, arrived in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday to begin his three-day visit to the US. The Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) and members of the Indian diaspora greeted him with great affection.
The Congressman posted images of his greeting on social media and commented, “I am truly delighted by the warm welcome I’ve received in Dallas, Texas, USA, from the Indian Diaspora and members of the Indian Overseas Congress.”
“I eagerly look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and insightful conversations that will further strengthen the bond between our two nations during this visit,” he added.
Rahul Gandhi is visiting America for the first time since the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.
The head of Congress will be in Washington, DC, on September 9–10, and Dallas, Texas, on September 8.
The Indian diaspora, which includes NRI residents, technocrats, business leaders, students, the media fraternity, and even political leaders, is excited to welcome Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and is looking forward to speaking with him, according to IOC chief Sam Pitroda, who made the announcement of Gandhi’s visit earlier.
“A wide range of people are interested in the areas where the Congress party governs, especially the IT hubs of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune, therefore there are a lot of events scheduled with them. He added, “We see a lot of interest in talking with the business and technology communities.
Pitroda concluded by saying, “We look forward to a very successful visit and look forward to welcoming Rahul Gandhi to the US.”
In addition, he claimed that he was “bombarded” with inquiries from different sources on Rahul Gandhi’s journey to the US, and that the purpose of this video message was ostensibly to let them know about the Congressman’s brief but eagerly awaited trip.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi has been gaining popularity and building solid momentum with his opinions on a variety of public interest topics since the outcomes of the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Political observers predict that this time around, his journey to the US will generate more controversy at home and be more noteworthy.
Rae Bareli and Wayanad are two Lok Sabha seats that Rahul won; he decided to keep the former and give Priyanka Gandhi, his sister, the other seat.
With approval from the Congress Working Committee (CWC), he was named Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha in June of this year.
