International War Zone : According to a Reuters report, three U.S. officials have revealed that the U.S. military shot down an Iranian drone aircraft that was traveling to Israel on Saturday. They did not, however, provide a specific number or location of the downed drones.
The United States was cautioned by Iran’s UN envoy on social networking site X not to get involved in the dispute between Iran and Israel. They warned that should Israel attack, Tehran would respond even more harshly.
The Israeli military has disclosed that, in addition to the initial round of ballistic missiles, Iran deployed about 100 suicide drones on the Israeli territory.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran has acknowledged that it has fired multiple drones and missiles in the direction of Israel. This might be a major step toward escalating tensions between the two foes in the region. In return, the US has promised to stand with Israel.
Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani reportedly warned Tehran on Sunday that Tehran would vehemently respond against any country that permits Israel to utilize its airspace or territory for assaults against Iran, according to Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office declared that Israeli War Cabinet will meet at Tel Aviv’s military headquarters with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
The Israeli military stated that it would take many hours for the drones that were seen flying over Iraq from Iran to arrive at their objectives. While some of Iran’s missiles may get at their targets sooner, many missiles and drones have been intercepted over Syria or Jordan, according to Israeli Channel 12.
Iran’s moves follow what it believes to be an Israeli attack on its consulate in Damascus on April 1, which claimed the lives of seven Guards personnel, including two senior commanders. Iran has said that it is retaliating for “Israeli crimes,” although Israel has not acknowledged or denied any role in the attack on the consulate.
