The Special Investigation Team, or SIT, detained HD Revanna, the Karnataka Janata Dal (Secular) MLA, on Saturday in connection with a kidnapping case involving accusations of sexual assault made against his son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. Not long after his anticipatory bail motion was denied by a Bengaluru court, he was taken into custody.
Former minister HD Revanna was brought to the SIT headquarters after being picked up from his father, JD(S) supremo and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda’s Padmanabhanagar home.
On Thursday night, a lawsuit was filed in Mysuru against HD Revanna and his close friend Sathish Babanna for allegedly kidnapping a woman.
What is HD Revanna’s complaint against?

5 at a farmhouse in Kalenahalli village in Mysuru, an SIT official said. The house belongs to Rajashekar, HD Revanna’s personal assistant. “The woman will be brought to Bengaluru, where her statement will be recorded,” the officer said.
