Raghav Chadha, who is well-known for being Kejriwal’s valued confidant and a pivotal player managing important party duties, has been conspicuously absent since earlier this month when he underwent emergency eye surgery, specifically a vitrectomy, in the UK.
After being absent for several months, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha appeared in public on Saturday at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence in the national capital. A camera captured the exact moment Chadha’s automobile pulled up to the CM’s house.
Renowned for being one of Kejriwal’s most trusted confidants and a pivotal player managing important party duties, Chadha had been conspicuously absent earlier this month because he had undergone emergency eye surgery, a vitrectomy, in the UK.
Questions were raised by his protracted absence, particularly in light of the party’s recent imprisonment and other ups and downs. But the AAP had promised that if Chadha recovered, he would return to the party’s Lok Sabha campaign.
Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj of Delhi said in an official statement released on May 2 that Raghav Chadha had major eye surgery in the UK. It was stated that his condition was critical and that blindness was a possibility. He’ll come back to India as soon as his health permits and help with our electoral campaign.”
Despite Chadha’s physical absence from the party throughout its difficult moments, he continued to be active on social media, occasionally lending his support to the party and spearheading assaults on political opponents.
“The eyes of every citizen in the country are filled with joy; their brother, their son Arvind Kejriwal is on the brink of release from jail,” tweeted Chadha on May 10, in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to grant Kejriwal interim bail until June 1 in the excise policy case.
