Congress Take Action : Sanjay Nirupam was removed by the Congress on Wednesday from its roster of well-known Maharashtra campaigners, and the party declared that he will face consequences for his comments critical of the party. It appears from the manner he has been speaking that he has accepted a contract to speak negatively about the other side. Within a day or two, something will be done about him. Nana Patole, the president of the Maharashtra Congress, stated that he will not receive any notice.

In response to the news, Nirupam took a jab at the Congress and declared that he will make an announcement about his next move tomorrow. “Congress should put its limited resources toward rescuing the party rather than squandering it on me and its stationery. In any case, it is experiencing a severe economic crisis. In a post on X, he stated, “My one-week deadline finishes tonight, and I will make a statement tomorrow.

Reports that Sanjay Nirupam might be leaving the party have prompted action against him. Nirupam is vehemently against the Congress-Shiv Sena (UBT) coalition in the approaching Lok Sabha elections. The previous head of the Mumbai Congress had stated that following Shiv Sena’s (UBT) unilateral announcement of 17 candidates, the Congress should not submit to pressure from the Uddhav Thackeray-led party.

“The Congress was coerced into giving the Shiv Sena (UBT) five of the six seats in Mumbai. However, the Congress must refuse to submit to such manipulation. The Congress leader had declared, “This is a ploy to destroy the party in the city and it is against the Congress.”

After losing the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai’s northwest, Nirupam stated that “all options were open for him” and gave the party leadership a week to make a decision.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) has announced its candidates for the Lok Sabha seats in Bhiwandi, Mumbai South Central, and Sangli. The Maharashtra Congress had complained, stating that MVA partners ought to uphold “coalition dharma”. Leader of the Congress Legislature Party Balasaheb Thorat has pleaded with Sena (UBT) to change its mind.
