YS Jagan was gesturing to the assembly when the event transpired. After being swiftly brought inside the bus, medical professionals treated him and made sure he wasn’t in any danger. YS Jagan thereafter set out again on his journey. Leaders of the YSRCP in Vijayawada attributed the incident to TDP activists.
Alongside the Chief Minister during the campaign was YSRCP MLA Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, who also sustained damage to his left eye.
After receiving emergency medical attention, Jagan Mohan Reddy continued the roadshow.
