Rahul’s decision to move to Rae Bareli raised concerns since it would provide the BJP with a ready-made attack line against his opponents from the previous election, Smriti Irani and Amethi. However, others believed that Priyanka in Amethi would be a more effective strategic opponent in the event of a “woman vs. woman” competition.
