Students at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi recently protested in support of Palestine, leaving a Coca-Cola recruitment event. Many in Pakistan applauded the students’ choice to walk out, but others questioned whether they were supporting Hamas, a terrorist organization.

Journalist Ahmed Quraishi stated on Sunday that Jordan has determined that Hamas is responsible for demonstrations intended to topple the government by using the Gaza conflict as a pretext. He mentioned that Hamas is also attempting to spread its influence in Morocco and Pakistan.
“This is being discussed in Moroccan media. Amidst the Gaza conflict, the extremist group’s office in Iran is discreetly forming alliances with Pakistani legislators and academic institutions,” the source stated.
According to Qqraishi, this is the second attempt in the last five years by Hamas’s Tehran branch to gain ground within Pakistan. “In 2019, Hamas and Hezbollah seemed to be gaining ground in Pakistan during the tenure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was well-known for his support of extremist Islamic organizations. Nearly all extremist organizations in the area utilized #Palestine as a front for their purposes.”
Pakistan saw the start of a boycott movement as Israel began its ground offensive against Hamas. Pakistanis called for a boycott of Pepsico and Coca-Cola beverages.
Using a biometric ID system, Hewlett-Packard (HP) was charged with supporting Israel’s monitoring of Palestinians in general and dissidents in particular.
Calls to boycott a number of brands, including PepsiCo, Carrefour, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and Dominos, have been made in Pakistan.
Not just in Pakistan, but also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Pakistan, customers rejected companies that they claimed were involved in the persecution of Palestinians.
