The arrested candidate identified himself as Ravi Prakash Singh, son of Radheshyam, and inhabitant of Baruna police station in the Narayanpur district of Bhojpur, Bihar, when asked by center administrator Dinto MD. From him, two papers were found.

They contained written responses to the police recruitment exam questions. The recruiting exam consisted of 150 questions in total, 114 of which the candidate already knew the correct answers to. When questioned, he initially replied that he and a few other candidates who were outside had also submitted responses to the questions.
