After his request for temporary bail was denied by the Bombay High Court, Sahil Khan was taken into custody in Chhattisgarh by the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT).

Actor Sahil Khan has been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police on suspicion of being involved in the Mahadev betting app case.
After his request for temporary bail was denied by the Bombay High Court, Sahil Khan was taken into custody in Chhattisgarh by the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT).
According to accounts, Mr. Khan ran away from Mumbai after the high court denied his case.

After more than 40 hours of work, the actor was taken into custody with the assistance of the Chhattisgarh Police.
He was transported to Mumbai from Chhattisgarh this morning, and a Mumbai court ordered him to four days police detention.
Sahil Khan, who has acted in movies such as “Excuse Me” and “Style,” is also well-known as a social media influencer.

The promoters of the contentious Mahadev betting app and some financial and real estate companies in Chhattisgarh are allegedly involved in unlawful transactions, which the SIT has been looking into.
Charges are being investigated by Mumbai Police against 32 individuals, including Sahil Khan. Sahil Khan’s bank accounts, cell phones, laptops, and other digital devices are also being investigated by the cyber cell.
Actor Tamannaah Bhatia received a summons earlier this week regarding the advertising of a Mahadev betting app subsidiary.

The Maharashtra cyber cell has called the actor in for questioning about his purported promotion of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches on the Fairplay betting app. Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who had starred in advertisements for the Mahadev betting app, made news last year when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) called them in for interrogation.
The Mahadev Online betting software was run by Dubai-based Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. They are both from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh.
According to the Enforcement Directorate’s study, Mahadev Online Book App is managed from a main headquarters in the United Arab Emirates.

According to ED officials, Chandrakar and Uppal also had connections to politicians, bureaucrats, and the police. They also made frequent payments to keep the app off the radar of investigatory agencies.
