Only 13,989 of the more than 1.74 lakh visitors to the Maldives until January 28 of this year were Indian, according to figures.
Russia was the country with the most visitors to the Maldives (18,561). Following this, the Maldives saw 18,111 visitors from Italy, 16,529 visitors from China, and 14,588 visitors from the United Kingdom.
