Who is the keynote speaker for the MLK Day Service in 2024?
Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley, the founder principal and CEO of R.E.A.C.H. Beyond Solutions, an executive leadership, public health, and advocacy firm that promotes EDI, political and organizational strategy, risk management, government affairs, and technical assistance, will be the keynote speaker. She is also the president of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
Arline-Bradley served as the Department of Health and Human Services’ senior advisor and director of external engagement under the Obama Administration before starting her job with R.E.A.C.H. Beyond Solutions.
She had previously worked at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) headquarters as chief of staff and executive vice president of partnerships and strategic planning.
Rev. Arline-Bradley has an Executive Certificate of Business Management from Howard University and an Executive Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. She graduated with a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University as well as a bachelor’s degree in the same field from Virginia Union University’s Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology. Born in New Jersey, Arline-Bradley is passionate in business, politics, education, sisterhood, religion, and both local and global health.

MLK Day is a federal holiday that honors the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and invites global contemplation on issues of civil rights and racism.
King, who is recognized as one of the most influential nonviolent leaders in history, led the Civil Rights Movement from the middle of the 1950s until his murder in 1968. He was the impetus behind historic occasions like the March on Washington and the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
