Auto Market Updates : Official sales of the Mahindra XUV700 for 2024 have begun in India, with a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra’s flagship SUV has a number of new features and modifications in this most recent version.
Available in the more expensive AX7 and AX7L models, the six-seater version of the XUV700 boasts captain seats in the middle row, making it one of the model’s most noteworthy upgrades. With this setup, the XUV700 is put in line with rival vehicles that currently have comparable seating arrangements, like the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.
Aesthetically, the XUV700 is now offered in all models in the eye-catching new Napoli Black color. Those choosing the AX7 or AX7L models will notice that the wheels and grille have been completely blacked out, adding to the car’s svelte and covert image. These versions also come with a dual-tone color option with a blacked-out roof, which gives the SUV’s appearance a sportier feel.
The XUV700’s interior amenities have been improved with the inclusion of ventilated front seats and an upgraded connected car tech suite that now offers 13 more capabilities, for a total of 83. A memory feature for the outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), which is especially helpful when the car is being driven by various people, is another advantage of the top-spec version.
The 2024 XUV700’s engine lineup consists of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, the latter of which comes in two tuning options. Six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions are available, and an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system is an optional add-on for better driving characteristics.
Mahindra has also revealed plans to launch a “White Glove Chauffeur Training Programme” in major cities, which aims to give drivers professional instruction on ADAS systems, emergency procedures, and identifying faults and error signals. After starting in Delhi and Ahmedabad, this project will gradually spread to other major cities.
